About the Project

In collaboration with Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and Land Transport Authority (LTA), we conducted Virtual Reality Commuter Simulator (VRCS) Design Workshops in order to better understand the experience of commuters in their First-Mile-Last-Mile Trips, which involves a change of mode of transport to complete the journey. Workshop participants represented a diverse range of transportation needs and experiences, including young families, older adults and those who use wheelchairs and mobility devices. 

The findings from this workshop helped to guide the design of the VRCS and to inform researchers and planners on the practical ways in which local First-Mile-Last-Mile commuter experiences can be better planned and designed in the future.
