FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is eligible to participate in this project?

The precinct of Gek Poh Central has been selected for the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme. Residents from Block 752 — 761 and 764 — 766 are eligible to participate in our workshops.

What is the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme (NRP)?

The NRP was introduced in August 2007 in response to residents’ feedback during the forum on HDB Heartware for more active consultation on the improvements to be provided in their precincts. The NRP focuses on block and precinct improvements to enhance the living environments in your neighbourhood. Under the NRP, we can build or upgrade community facilities for your neighbourhood.

How can my participation help in this project?

By sharing with us your ideas and insights, we would be able to better improve your living environment by making it more meaningful and useful for you and the others living in the neighbourhood.

What can we build?

Under the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme, we would be able to build facilities that would serve the wider community.

How will this project be funded?

The cost of NRP will be 100% funded by the government and implemented by the West Coast Town Council.
