About the Project

In Litterati Wall (2015-2019), we worked with the MacPherson community, Marine Parade Town Council, and MacPherson CCC to repurpose the humble bottle cap in the creation of a new play structure. Through pop-ups, community noticeboards and a donation drive, we received hundreds of used bottle caps collected by residents and students. We then designed an abstract play structure (built through the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme), that served as a base for children and parents living in the neighbourhood to create mosaics on using these caps, alongside our designers and volunteers. Children encounter their own artwork daily in this public space and are reminded of the possibilities of simple, everyday objects.
