About the Project

We had the opportunity to engage the residents of the award-winning Kampung Admiralty and surrounding HDBs in order to gather insights to update the community plaza. During the community design workshop and pop-up, participants shared feedback on the current space and discussed how the plaza could help encourage healthy living. Utilising 3D models of the space, a large interactive map, and conversations with facilitators, we discovered the desire for less conventional health-related activities such as educational programmes, counselling services, and socially-conscious events. Participants also discussed ways to make the space safe and accessible for all with the use of PMDs.

This public engagement was an initiative by People’s Association and Woodlands Health Campus and organised by Participate in Design.
