About the Project

Jalan Besar 5 Year Masterplan (2019) — We joined Shophouse & Co and Jalan Besar Town Council to engage a diverse range of residents in Jalan Besar for the town’s 5 Year Masterplan. For this public engagement, we set-up pop-ups in the neighbourhoods of Jalan Besar and hosted workshops with community stakeholders. From Kampong Gelam to Potong Pasir, residents shared how their town could be enhanced and transformed into an even more lovable place to live, work and play in. The challenge was to honour the rich history of these neighbourhoods while bringing new life through upgrading.
