About the Project

Dear Neighbour (2014) was a platform for people to express their gratitude to others in their community, particularly those who had directly or indirectly contributed to making the neighbourhood a beautiful and pleasant place to live.

We live in fast-paced times where we hardly know our neighbours and those who make up our neighbourhood. We may have taken these people for granted, and our ability to pause, reflect and appreciate these positive roles in our lives may be slowly eroding. By inviting people to say thank you to others - be it the neighbourhood cleaner, the local ice-cream vendor, or a kind neighbour -  this project was about celebrating those invisible individuals who have made both small and big differences to our lives.
