About the Project
Better 2gather @ Telok Blangah is a community arts project in the neighbourhood of Telok Blangah, aimed at using participatory arts as a means to co-create a space in the neighbourhood.
Eight co-creation sessions were organised with the Telok Blangah community, where residents told stories and celebrated their rich background and diversity through papercraft. These were done through weekly sessions with participants sharing their work and crafting process while forging new friendships.
From creating the exhibition title to ideas for the co-creation sessions, the entire process was done in collaboration with the community. We hope that through this process, we can see our residents not just as consumers of arts but also as collaborators when it comes to arts in the community.
