This is a full time position.

We are searching for someone with the following skills and qualities:

  • Diploma in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Environment Design or other related field (those without the necessary education qualifications will be considered if they have relevant work experience)
  • Core design skills and proficiency in CAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Suite
  • Dynamic team player with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness, a positive attitude, and an interest in participatory or community-driven design
  • Not afraid to work with their hands, build prototypes and in short, make things happen
  • Enjoys meeting new people, and comfortable talking to people across all disciplines
  • Excellent communication, writing and analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work during weekends and evenings on selected occasions
  • Good verbal and written command of the English language, as well as the ability to converse fluently in mother tongue (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil) and/or dialect

Additional knowledge, skills and abilities that are an added plus:

  • Facilitation skills and experience
  • Photography and videography skills
  • Knowledge of video production tools and website design
  • Knowledge in engaging communities using social networks, particularly Facebook

Job responsibilities will include: 

  • Assisting in the conceptualisation and preparation of design concepts, project proposals and reports, including architecture drawings, specifications, and 3D modelling
  • Assisting in managing communications and relationships with clients, internal and external team members, consultants and other stakeholders relating to the project
  • Assisting in developing branding, graphic and communication materials for projects
  • Assisting in project research
  • Developing ideas and proposals with the team
  • Conducting on-the-ground research and analysis (e.g., interviews, field observations, data collection) and assisting the team in planning, managing and executing participatory events and activities (e.g., pop-up events, design workshops, prototyping)
